Born into a large family, she grew up in a rural environment that fostered an imaginative childhood. Encouraged by teachers to write poems and stories during her school years, she discovered an affinity for writing that led to studying creative writing in university. Initially venturing into broadcast and screen writing, E.G. Brook has written in many formats for work and pleasure throughout her life.
